  1. Silky smooth arcs. We run spools of 0.030” and 0.035” flux core through the machine and the
weld consistency and quality surprised us.

  3. Great Canadian-made machine. Bought it after chatting with Nick and being recommended this specific machine. I’m a beginner welder and it was easy to use and set-up. The finishing on the machine is quite nice. It looks good. The components are all top notch. Everything seems to be made either in Canada (the unit itself), or in the Netherlands (the gun and hoses). The wire feed wheels are solid steel and should never wear out. I was a bit confused at first about which side of the feed wheel was which size (since the lettering for the size is actually on the opposite side of the wheel than the track). I eventually decided that the number facing outwards corresponded with the track size, despite being on opposite side of the wheel. Tough to explain in text here…

Some areas for improvement would be the instruction manual. It leaves a bit to be desired and isn’t great for a true beginner like me. It covers the very basics of assembling the parts of the machine that need assembling, and not much more. And a weld chart inside the door would be good too. It doesn’t have any chart at all, so I’m going off of some Miller charts found online for a starting point.

As well, the font on the wire feed dial is hard to read, especially in the welder unit is sitting on the floor (and you’re looking from above). My garage is not that bright, but it isn’t a dungeon either. Maybe something could be tweaked to make the font different. The top of the unit above the wire feed dial acts like a little awning, so it casts a shadow and makes it tough to read without squatting down. If the unit were on a desk right in front of you, it wouldn’t be a problem.

Already welded a table and some other projects. Looked forward to learning more.

  5. Picked this welder after looking at all options, Price was a big factor and the specs are Great.
You get a lot value for the money when compared to other welders like Miller, E-sab and Lincoln. the other welders were easily $500+ more.
Made in Canada was a plus, Which is hard to find these days
    Setup was fairly easy.
The auto feed button for loading wire is awesome saves gas.
Wish there was a chart for recommended starting point for voltages and wire speed for material thicknesses.
IMO the Machine works as good Lincoln 255c I have work
Next is one of there plasma cutters
